I received this item broken. I could not get it open by pressing the code numbers provided. When I got it open with a key i found the iside battery cover broke and unable to hold the batteries in place. I contacted Amazon who informed me they could they had no way of contacting the manufacturer of the safe to get me the part that i needed to make it work which was a simple battery cover.

Sending this back was an extreme inconvenience that I did not want to go through so I have a broken useless safe.I cannot believe Amazon has no way to contact the supplier of there products as I was told by the person answering the phone for Amazon.

Its quick and easy. very convenient as a daily place to put valuables (watches, rings, wallets, etc). It doesn't have a very sophisticated look & feel to it, but nothing missing in functionality.

This safe does what it is supposed to as far as I am concerned. For the price it will do the job of keeping things secured to an extent. It is very easy to program and the keypad works fine. The beep is very loud. A screw driver is needed to get to the override key hole so that is not just out in the open or hidden on the side. Mine was delivered with dead batteries so I needed the key to get into it, change the batteries, and reset the combination but after replacing them it has worked fine.

Free delivery by Fast-trac was fast, 4 days including weekend after placing the order. Bought for my 85 year old step-mother and I screw-mounted the safe to a heavy wood stand made of 2x4s. She had no problem opening and locking the safe once the code was setup. The code was very easy to program...minmum of 4 digits plus 'B' to open. The only flaw was the misalignment of the door which grinded the bottom a little when opening and closing. Otherwise, it serves its purpose.

I like the safe. It is a lot like the safe's that you will find in a hotel room. It will do the job of keeping passports; extra cash and all that, in a 'safe' place.
